Sunstone brings hope and healing to people touched by cancer. If you are a cancer survivor, loved one or friend, come to Sunstone for comfort, education, and therapies that will ease both your body and your soul.

Sunstone has been providing its services to those touched by cancer for almost seven years. Whether you are newly diagnosed or years past treatment, you are a survivor and Sunstone is here for you.

We have a social worker on staff to provide counseling and navigation services for you and your family. Our nutritionist can help you and your family with nutritional counseling and consultation throughout your treatment and beyond. We have yoga and Pilates and Qigong to help you move and energize your body.

Throughout every week, we offer a range of integrative therapies to help survivors manage and cope with the existential crisis called cancer. This is a journey you never would have chosen and must follow. We are here with you!

Most of these therapies are based on a mind-body approach to healing, with a focus on experimenting and learning what’s right for you. These programs are offered at one of five locations throughout Tucson—just choose the one that is the most convenient for you. Our programs can help ease your body and soul through relaxation, new knowledge and community connections.

Sunstone offers its programs at little or no cost to the participants. Financial assistance is needed to help provide cancer survivors and their loved ones with the ability to attend our day programs, educational programming, navigation, counseling, referral consultation and touch therapies. We also need volunteers for a variety of projects and special events. You can help whether you are a large or small donor, an individual, or a representative of a community business, corporation, foundation or other grant-awarding organization. Donations made to the Centers are tax deductible.

Having cancer causes many changes in survivors' lives, including economic ones. To support its survivors, Sunstone Cancer Support Centers makes every effort to keep its programs at little or no cost. This is made possible through the generous donations of community members committed to the mission of bringing hope and healing to people touched by cancer. If you are a survivor and can afford the nominal fees, we welcome your contribution. If you cannot afford the fees, we are pleased to assist you by providing the services at reduced or no tuition.

Donations and Funding

Throughout the year, all of us will be asked to consider a donation to a charitable organization. We hope that you will choose Sunstone. Sunstone is providing essential care to those touched by cancer through all of the services listed on this Web site. Because we offer these at little or no cost to the participants, we depend on the generosity of our community. Survivors who use our services say they cannot imagine coping with cancer without Sunstone. It is our responsibility to assure that this never happens.

If you are in treatment and struggling financially, we want to be able to offer all of our programs and services to you at little or no cost. In turn, we ask that when you are returned to health and ready to give back, that you will consider making it possible for others to benefit by financially supporting Sunstone.

Sunstone One-Day Workshops

Sunstone Cancer Support

Centers offer one-day workshops for cancer survivors, health care professionals, support groups and non-professional caregivers.

Sunstone One-Day Workshops are a time away from the normal business of life, decisions and stressors. It is a time taken apart in which you will be guided onto a path of feeling more whole and "at home" with yourself despite whatever circumstances are pressing you. A Sunstone workshop is a time to learn new skills that are integrative and empowering. It is a time to relax and enjoy healthy food in a lovely, nurturing setting. It is a time to meet others who are also seeking a respite, and to feel a part of a supportive community. It is a time to gain a new perspective, through a blend of experiential and interactive methods within a supportive group. that will help to sustain you throughout the rest of your journey.

Sunstone Volunteers

Volunteers are vital to our daily operations here at Sunstone. From sitting with survivors during cancer treatments and greeting visitors and their families, to referring survivors to resources within the community and assisting in Sunstone events, our volunteers are not only the backbone of our organization, but they are often the first contact a survivor has with our organization. Volunteers are always needed – those with special talents and expertise, as well as those who just want to work with awe-inspiring cancer survivors.
