Volunteer Opportunities

The vision of Sunstone Cancer Support Centers is to create nurturing care programs that encompass mind, body, and spirit, and to provide these programs to all whose lives are touched by cancer. Our programs cover every phase of the cancer journey, from diagnosis through treatment and life adjustments for the survivor, caregivers, family members and loved ones. Because Sunstone relies on individual donors for more than 90% of annual income, we need your support to make this vision a reality. Following are just a few of the many ways you can provide that support:

• Become a Friend of Sunstone through a $1000 annual membership

Event sponsors receive recognition through printed programs, materials and announcements.

Sunstone’s commitment is to serve all whose lives are touched by cancer, regardless of their ability to pay. With the support of donors, sponsors and volunteers, Sunstone is able to offer reduced- and no-cost services whenever possible, based on individual circumstances.

Funds are always needed for scholarships, capital improvements, program development, and sponsorships. Donations to meet these needs--from both individual donors and corporate/organizational sponsors--are most welcome and always appreciated.

Donations and Funding
Throughout the year, all of us will be asked to consider a donation to a charitable organization. We hope that you will choose Sunstone. Sunstone is providing essential care to those touched by cancer through all of the services listed on this Web site. Because we offer these at little or no cost to the participants, we depend on the generosity of our community. Survivors who use our services say they cannot imagine coping with cancer without Sunstone. It is our responsibility to assure that this never happens.

If you are in treatment and struggling financially, we want to be able to offer all of our programs and services to you at little or no cost. In turn, we ask that when you are returned to health and ready to give back, that you will consider making it possible for others to benefit by financially supporting Sunstone.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering is a rewarding way to contribute to Sunstone. Time is a precious thing in each of our lives; something we can’t buy more of, or get back once it’s spent. Your donation of time is an immeasurable gift to the cancer survivors and co-survivors who call upon Sunstone to aid them in their journey.

Sunstone volunteers greet and support those touched by cancer, educate about our programs, maintain our grounds, and share their special talents in a multitude of ways. Call Nancy, our Volunteer Coordinator, to discuss how you can make a difference with a donation of your time: (520) 324-3559.
